ISTORICUL Picturii monumentale «La Pieta» de Florian Liber

1998: Expozitie la Filarmonica de Stat din Arad – Ecce Homo, La Pieta cu ocazia stagiunii jubiliare. Curator, Eleonora Costescu critic și istoric de artă (AICA – Asociația Internațională a Criticilor de Artă, UNESCO)

Într-un amplu articol dedicat acestei picturi, apărut în revista Arca (nr. 10-11-12, aparut in ianuarie 1999), publicat de criticul de artă Eleonora Costescu sub titlul Pictura lui Florian Liber sau a fi sau a nu fi „modern”, citim:

«Am pronunţat, intenţionat, numele lui Caravaggio . O cât de puţin avizată privire asupra lucrărilor lui Florian Liber poate surprinde cu uşurintă – mai ales atunci când ne referim la procedeele tehnice folosite -, o inrudire între lucrările acestuia şi cele ale maestrului tenebrosismului european de la începutul veacului al XVll-lea. Dar chiar şi acest aspect nu poate fi luat ad litteram. Pentru pictorul italian din Seicento, tehnica de clar-obscur – ca şi importanţa acordată unui desen ferm şi viguros -, au constituit mijloacele cele mai adecvate pentru a pune cât mai mult în evidenţă latura fizică, materială, a lumii. În acest sens se poate vorbi de Caravaggio ca despre unul dintre maeştrii incontestabili ai „realismului” din toate timpurile. În contrast, în pictura lui F.L., desenul pare a se estompa până a nu mai fi perceput ca atare, dizolvat, s-ar spune -, în umbrele şi penumbrele ce-i învăluie, blând, figurile, procedeu prin care artistul pare a fi urmărit să atragă atenţia mai ales asupra conţinutului spiritual exprimat în lucrările sale. » …

1999: Lucrarea monumentala intra un custodia Filarmonicii de Stat din Arad, director Director Dorin Frandes. Autorul, Florian Liber, ramane proprietarul tabloului. Curatorul si criticul de arta Eleonora Costescu si-a exprimat dorinta ca pictura sa ramana in Arad

2009: Pictura monumentala La Pieta semnata Florian Liber devine proprietatea Complexului Muzeal Arad, Muzeul de Arta, prin bunavointa D-lui Director Peter Hugel  sub ingrijirea Doamnei dr. Adriana Pantazi, cf. documentului 854/ 30 decembrie 2009 (am fost in Arad de sarbatori, eram plecat din Romania de mai bine de cinci ani, m-am stabilit in Montreal in 2004) … Deci, muzeul de arta devine noul proprietar al picturii La Pieta de F.Liber in urma dorintei Doamnei Eleonora Costescu decedata in 2002.

2013: Transfer de gestiune intre Filarmonica si Muzeu. Dl. Doru Orban -> Mme Pantazzi via Peter Huegel; „Directorul de atunci al filarmonicii, Dl Doru Orban mă anunta prin email ca a transferat gestiunea picturii La Pieta de la Filarmonica la Muzeu, totodata si lucrarea a fost deplasata fizic la muzeu de transfer s-a ocupat Doamna Pantazi. Deci proprietarul intra in posesia si gestiunea lucrarii care este supusa unei analize in vederea restaurarii.” (F.L.)
